In 1989 the church decided to make use of a shop adjacent to the church.  The building had been purchased many years ago. It had not been used by the church but had been let to various businesses. The building required major renovation and many church members helped.  The vision was to use the building's high street position to outreach to the community.

The shop's aim was to bridge the gap between church and those who shop in the street.  The shop provides coffee and basic snacks mostly home made by church members.  There has never been a problem getting customers, it is a matter of how many volunteer workers can be found.

Alongside the snacks are book and greeting cards for sale.  So while people eat and drink they are surrounded by christian literature.  Many buy or take a free tract!  Books can be obtained on order which is a great help to local christians.

We work hard to keep our shop going and it is our hope the Lord works in the hearts of those who visit.
